Welcome to our comprehensive training program covering the units of competency RIIHAN301E Operate elevating work platform and RIIWHS204E Work safely at heights in Australia. Course Objectives: Upon completion of this training, participants will:

Students who pass will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised by the Australian Qualifications Framework. This accreditation is valid throughout Australia. The Statement is issued by Talented Training (RTO 45144), which is a nationally accredited registered training organisation.

Unit RIIHAN301E: Operate elevating work platform: In this unit, participants will learn the following:

  • Legislative and regulatory requirements governing the operation of elevating work platforms.
  • Types of elevating work platforms and their respective operational techniques.
  • Pre-operational and post-operational checks to ensure safe operation.
  • Hazard identification and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Emergency procedures and maintenance requirements.

Unit RIIWHS204E: Work safely at heights: This unit covers the following topics:

  • Legal and organizational requirements for working at heights.
  • Hazard identification and risk assessment techniques.
  • Selection, inspection, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Implementation of safe work practices and control measures.
  • Emergency response and rescue procedures.

1 day

  • There are a few prerequisites that must be met:
    • Minimum 18 years of age
    • Basic knowledge and understanding of English (written and verbal)
    • Have at least a Year 10 level of numeracy, literacy and communication skills
    • Provide an original form of photographic identification

     

    Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN)

    • If English is your second language, you must advise us at the time of booking. Contact our Sales and Service Team on 07 3375 5822 to determine your eligibility to undertake this training. We will assist you in any way we can, but due to the demands of the assessment process, do not guarantee that every applicant will possess the level of LLN required for the assessment.
    • You will require at least a Year 10 level of numeracy, literacy and communication skills. If you have any doubts, please let us know so we can assist you.
    • The Regulator does not allow an interpreter to be used during the mandated formal assessment.
