Overview

This course, which replaces UEENEEE101A, equips you with essential knowledge and training to meet mandatory work health and safety requirements specific to electrotechnology roles. It covers the responsibilities related to health and safety, risk management processes at all operational levels, and ensures adherence to safety practices as an integral part of daily work.

Students who successfully complete both the assessment requirements will receive a Statement of Attainment for the following unit:

  • UEECD0007: Apply work health and safety regulations, codes, and practices in the workplace.

You will gain an overview and basic understanding of:

  • The basic legal requirements covering occupational health and safety in the workplace
  • What constitutes a safe work environment
  • Manual Handling requirements
  • The requirements for safe use of chemicals used in the workplace
  • The requirements for working at heights
  • The requirements for confined spaces
  • The physical and psychological hazards in the workplace
  • Working safely with electricity
  • Emergency CPR and life support in the workplace

You will require access to a computer or laptop and an internet connection to complete this course.

You must also be able to use a web browser(such as Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge) and have your own valid email address. Shared emails addresses are not permitted, if you do not have your own email we suggest you create a Gmail address here

A learner undertaking this course will require a specific skill level in Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy.

The course has been assessed as requiring the following Australian Core Skills Framework levels:
